About Kal Yella: Kal started his life at Microsoft in 2006. After spending 2+ years in consulting role, he moved to his current role as Sr. Premier Field Engineer. In his current position, Kal supports multiple Health Care customers in maintaining and improving their large SQL Server environments. He also recently started helping customers migrating their SQL deployments to the cloud. Kal has overall 14+ years of experience in the SQL Server field as a DBA and Consultant for various financial and consulting organizations. Kal holds several SQL Server certifications including MCSE, MCT (Microsoft Certified Trainer) and the esteemed MCSM (Microsoft Certified Solutions Master). Andre Hass has been working for Microsoft as Premier Field Engineer for 8 years primarily focused on SQL Server Engine, most recently Analytics Platform System (PDW) and Azure Databases. In 2006 and 2007 he received from Microsoft an industry recognized MVP Award – Most Valuable Professional. Andre has 12+ years of experience on SQL Server Administration, Development and Design. Speaker on SQL Server technical summits, Microsoft conferences including TechEd and internal events. Andre started his career as a consultant for Financial Institutions, Insurance and Health care companies. Later became Microsoft Certified Trainer teaching Microsoft Official Courses. Andre holds Microsoft certifications since SQL Server 2000 including MCDBA, MCTS, MCIT SQL Server 2012 and MCT. His areas of expertise include Core engine, High Availability, Disaster Recovery, Query Performance Tuning and Troubleshooting.
